About three days after I received the pin I came into my local tattoo shop in Virginia beach and a tattoo artist by the name of Joey Nobody is the guy who took the actual pin and did a sketch from it and put the tattoo on my left arm. I went to Iraq in 2003, in January and I also went in 2005. I've been twice and returned home safely both times. In 2003 i was on the USS Portland and in 2005 I was on the USS Kearsarge which is another amphibious ship but it was a big deck helo-carrier. I joined in September of 1993 and this year, September 2007 it'll make my 14 year mark.
