Day 1

Painting the hallway on the second floor was the first task, for various reasons. One being that I felt I needed some light colors around to cheer me up. I picked a faux finish off of a card in Home Depot. Then I invited everybody I knew over. Some of them showed up.

The hallway before we started. Brad masked off the baseboards and molding. Meagan started applying the base coat. Meagan loves Trading Spaces.

Base coat nearly done. Red doors become white. Linder and Nikki start doing the faux finish.

Jenn and Heather and Nikki painting. Actually, Jenn's role was more supervisory. She did entertain the troops during pizza hour.

Painting got boring so Linder and Nikki assembled some CD racks from Ikea. Nikki starts down the stairs. Milla's job is to sit around and look beautiful.

Linder wanted to be the princess. Thunderbelly was there in case anything needed sitting upon. Everybody was a flurry to get painting as quickly and as thoroughly as possible.

In the end, my color choices make it look as though one has been swallowed by a salmon. And if I'd set the white balance properly, they'd all look the same. Wouldn't that be nice?
