There's not actually a whole lot to installing a ceiling fan, as long as there was a fixture there before. You just turn off the power, take the old fixture out, anchor the ceiling fan bracket (to a pair of joists) then hang the ceiling fan, put the blades and bulbs in. The whole process takes about 18 minutes. I find it difficult to be terribly proud of the procedure.
