There are slot
canyons, and then there's Antelope Canyon on the Navajo Nation
just outside of Page, Arizona. If you've seen a photo of a slot
canyon, chances are, it's Antelope. Discovered in 1931 by a
young girl herding sheep (as it seems are many amazing
discoveries) it was
largely ignored until the 1980's when it started to catch on
with photographers who loved the beams of light that shine down
at particular times during the day.
