50th and Cedar, July 11, 2007 8:45 p.m.
A group of teens who had been cruising up and down Cedar avenue near 50th street descended on 16 year old Tyshon Brown Smith outside of his house and began hurling stones and bottles at him. Blows were exchanged and one of the youths produced a Samurai sword and stabbed Brown at least two times. The 16 year old staggered to his front steps and collapsed, dying the next day.
